Terms of Service for Haps

1. Who we are
Haps is an event-discovery app operated by Daniel Rust (“Haps App,” “we,” “us,” “Haps”). You can reach us at admin@thehaps.app. By downloading, accessing, or using Haps, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
2. What Haps is
Haps aggregates publicly available event listings from many third-party sources (venues, ticketing platforms, public calendars) and presents them so you can discover things to do nearby. Haps is a discovery tool, not the organizer, seller, or host of the events it lists.
3. Accuracy of listings — please verify before you go
Event details (dates, times, prices, age restrictions, locations, availability, and whether an event happens at all) come from third parties and are processed automatically. They may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Always confirm the details with the official source — the “Get Tickets” / “Visit Website” link on each event — before making plans, traveling, or buying tickets.
We provide listings “as is” and make no warranty that any listing is accurate, current, or that an event will occur as described.
4. No affiliation
Venue names, event names, organizer names, and logos belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in Haps is for identification and discovery only and does not imply affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from Haps, or vice versa.
5. Tickets, purchases, and third-party sites
Haps does not sell tickets or process payments. When you tap a ticket or website link, you leave Haps and transact directly with that third party under their terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for those sites, their content, their availability, or any transaction you make with them.
6. Your account
Some features require an account (via Google or Apple sign-in). You’re responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing us. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect.
7. User-submitted content
If you submit an event or other content, you confirm you have the right to do so and you grant Haps a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the app. You must not submit content that is false, misleading, unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
We may review, edit, reject, or remove submitted content at our discretion, and we may suspend accounts that abuse submission or reporting features.
8. Reporting content
You can report an inaccurate or objectionable event from its detail screen (“Report this event”). We review reports and remove or correct content as appropriate. Event organizers and content owners can request removal at admin@thehaps.app (typically actioned within 48 hours) — see the content-removal and DMCA sections of our Privacy Policy.
9. Acceptable use
Don’t: misuse or interfere with the app or its backend; attempt to access data that isn’t yours; scrape, resell, or redistribute Haps’s aggregated data; reverse-engineer the app except where that right can’t be waived by law; or use Haps for any unlawful purpose.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Haps is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a listing, your attendance (or non-attendance) at an event, or your dealings with any third party. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use Haps (which, for the free app, is zero).
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where appropriate, surfaced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
