The Demoniacs - Utah premiere - Screening and discussion with the filmmaker

THE DEMONIACS (74 min., 2023), the first feature-length film by SCOTT CLIFFORD EVANS, makes its UTAH PREMIERE!

10pm, August 29th at Brewvies Cinema Pub

Nuns! Beer! Chaos!

Sister Jodie (Nora Jacobs) arrives at a countryside convent to find The Order of the Angels in turmoil: the nuns are hearing ghastly sounds at night and one of their number has gone missing. As the sisters begin to show signs of demonic possession, it's up to Jodie and her new friend, Sister Salka (Katharina Maria Trenk), to discover the source of these unnatural occurrences…even if it means staring into the very face of hell.

***The Demoniacs*** (74min., 2023) is the first feature-length film from Vienna-based artist/filmmaker **Scott Clifford Evans**. It is a large, collaborative, “no- budget” effort where some of the best artists in Austria have applied their artistic practice to everything from acting to set design, props to special effects, making an absurd art-horror-slapstick that combines fine art and “trash,” the beautiful and the grotesque.

For a pre-feature treat, we will screen the most recent episode of Evans' film series ***Murderkino***, "Geisterklo" (17 min., 2022). And stick around after the screening for an in-person **Q&A** with the director of the film, Scott Clifford Evans!

There will also be merch for sale: T-shirts and tote bags designed by Scott Clifford Evans, the book *Eyes of the Night* by Scott Clifford Evans/Markus Krottendorfer (2025), the first three volumes of the comic book series "Kill, Bigfoot, Kill!" written and drawn by Scott Clifford Evans (2023–), and the new first issue of the fantstic-fiction magazine *ODDBALL* (2026) with short stories by Evans, Curtis Jensen, and more!
