Weaving Memories: Textile Art as Cultural Knowledge – Group Exhibition curated by Vicky Lowe K'ulubWeaving Memories highlights the many ways textile traditions continue across communities today. Featuring backstrap weaving, wool textiles, embroidery, lacework, beading, natural dyes, and fiber arts, the exhibition centers Indigenous and diasporic perspectives and celebrates textiles as living practices that connect people to identity, community, and land.Participating Artists: Vicky Lowe (Curator), Alejandra Quechol, Allison Martínez Arocho, Calixta Chávez, Deyanira Cerrito Hernández, Elpitha Tsoutsounakis, Fanny Guadalupe Blauer, Gerónimo Bazán, Jem, Maria Elena Lowe Gomez K'ulub, Maria Garcia, Marisela Garcia:Patterns of Place – Aurora Hughes Villa & Janimarie Lester DeRose.Patterns of Place presents ceramic and mixed media works exploring memory, domestic life, and the stories carried by everyday objects. Aurora Hughes Villa layers architectural and botanical motifs to reflect how personal and cultural histories are embedded within place, while Janimarie Lester DeRose’s textured vessels examine grief, generational memory, and the emotional resonance of domestic objects.
