The Community Writing Center at Logan Library supports, motivates, and educates people of all abilities and educational backgrounds who want to use writing for practical needs, civic engagement, and personal expression. The Community Writing Center (CWC) was founded on the premise that everyone can write with assistance and support from others. The CWC is based on the model of college and university writing centers that are available to help students with their writing, but rather than helping students, the CWC serves citizens of the greater Logan area. Because of a strong commitment to the community, the English Department at Utah State University funds the CWC. The English Department values the variety of learning opportunities the CWC provides to people in our valley and is dedicated to providing ongoing support to writing coaching and writing workshops. The CWC is led by faculty from Utah State University’s English Department and a small group of part-time writing coaches.
