When We Were Boats tells the true story of Bill Beer and John Daggett, two California surfers who swam the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon in April 1955 because they could not afford a boat. Written and directed by Sam Van Wetter, the play is co-presented by Moab Theater Project and ephemeral collective. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. General admission is $15.
