Go big or go... bigger! This camp offers teens the freedom to scale things up while working resourcefully with varied repurposed materials. Projects will start with material exercises with wire, cardboard and clay. Larger projects will begin soon after and can include clay sculptures and large-scale papier mache pinatas and sculptures! If we have time, we’ll make mosaics too! LOCATION:Visual Art Institute 2900 S 300 W, South Salt Lake, Utah INSTRUCTOR:This class is taught by Tristyn. Learn more about our instructors at https://www.visualartinstitute.org/art-faculty PARKING: Please park on the NORTH side of the building and enter up the ramp to the front office. It is the really colorful side of the building. ATTIRE/SUPPLIES: We will provide the supplies used during the camp. Please send your child with a water bottle and snack each day. We also recommend your child wear clothing that can handle the art-making process (messy activities). DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP: You must check your child in and out each day from the front office. You will be sent a QR code before the start of camp to check your child in and out. You may share this code with any authorized adults. Drop-Off STARTS at 8:45 am. Pick-Up ENDS at 12:15 pm. Please be prompt collecting your child. FULL DAY STUDENTS: IF you register your child for a morning and afternoon camp in the same week, your child may spend the 1 hour lunch break with staff. Please send a lunch that does not require refrigeration or a microwave.
