EXHIBITION | Our City, Our Voice: Civic Engagement in Ogden

"Our City, Our Voice: Civic Engagement in Ogden" examines how citizens have worked to support Ogden's democracy for 175 years. Who gets to make decisions for a community? What makes a citizen? How can we make our voices heard? What is our responsibility to our community? Join us as we explore how residents have engaged with their government in Ogden. This exhibition accompanies "Voices & Votes: Democracy in America," a Smithsonian exhibition that explores the action, reaction, vision, and revision that democracy demands as Americans continue to question how to shape our country. "Voices & Votes: Democracy in America" is made possible in Utah by Utah Humanities and local venues around the state. Voices & Votes is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and State Humanities Councils nationwide. It is based on an exhibition by the National Museum of American History. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress. Visit both exhibitions in Ogden from October 24 to December 30, 2026 and learn how Utah connects to this national story through local companion exhibits and public programming. Museums at Union Station hours: Wed-Sat 11am-4pm. Exhibition is free with general museum admission. School and group tours on request.
