Stars and Stripes Forever: The Story of Old Glory

Celebrating America's Semiquincentennial, Nibley Children's Theatre invites you to an extraordinary, original musical production! The year is 1876, and the nation is buzzing with Centennial pride. Amidst the celebration, Grandma Pratt and Grandma Wells take the stage to share a family secret with their grandchildren: how their grandmother, Betsy Ross, helped shape American history. Our story follows Betsy after General Washington asks her to bring his flag design to life. With a little help from Martha Washington’s sewing circle and local upholsterers, history is made! Through song and story, audiences will discover the meaning behind the flag's symbols and the enduring hope of the Revolution. Filled with beloved patriotic tunes, this summer spectacular is run entirely by wonderful volunteers and stars nearly 200 of Nibley’s own talented youth.
