Join us every Friday at Clark Planetarium between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for an interesting and fun look at free hands-on science projects. August 7 -- Black Holes -- Come learn about some of the most massive structures in the universe: Black holes! Joining us today will be Dr. Anna Kapinska, an astrophysicist who studies black holes and was recently honored as a 2026 American Astronomical Society (AAS) Harlow Shapley Lecturer. August 14 -- Spin Rocket Lab -- Have you ever wondered about the science of getting rockets into space? Come learn about different methods humans have used to shoot objects into space! From ancient rocketry to modern day and the future of rocket propulsion, come discover new ways we can go visit the stars! August 21 -- Fire Tornadoes -- Discover the wonders and dangers of fire by learning about combustion, the science of fire, and how wildfires affect us. Observe how air and fire interact with each other in our flashy demonstrations and learn how to extinguish fire. August 28 --Tinker Day: Sandcastles -- Summer is a great time to be creative! Have you ever tried to build a sand castle without water? Come join us at the Clark Planetarium to experiment with Sugar Castles! Can you build the strongest and tallest tower? Come find out! These events are free and do not require registration.
