Colored Pencil Workshop - Textures in Nature

This workshop is for anyone who is intimidated by the tedium of covering large areas, an overwhelming amount of details, or not knowing how to draw convincing fur, leaves, grass, bark, rocks, etc. In this two-day workshop, learn how easy they can be with some techniques that anyone can master. About the instructor: Denise Howard, the President of the Colored Pencil Society of America and author of the book “101 Textures in Colored Pencil”, grew up on a Missouri farm surrounded by animals and nature, drawing constantly. After college she worked for several Silicon Valley companies. However, for 25+ years software engineering left little time or energy for creating art. Finally the urge to return to her art became too strong to ignore, so she committed to it as a second career and soon received local, national and international recognition and awards for her realistic colored pencil and graphite work.
