SMITHSONIAN EXHIBITION | Voices & Votes: Democracy in America in Vernal

SMITHSONIAN EXHIBITION | Voices & Votes: Democracy in America in Vernal

Our democracy is ever-changing -- with every generation, every election, and every time we choose to vote and raise our voices. It lives and is reborn at the ballot box, on the streets, in meeting houses, and in our homes. Please join us for "Voices & Votes: Democracy in America," a Smithsonian exhibition that explores the action, reaction, vision, and revision that democracy demands as Americans continue to question how to shape our country. Come learn about the bold American experiment of a government run by and for the people, and examine the influences that shaped its early days and the changes that have occurred in the 250 years since. Visit the exhibition in Vernal from August 15 to October 17, 2026 and learn how Utah connects to this national story through local companion exhibits and public programming. Voices & Votes: Democracy in America is made possible in Utah by Utah Humanities. Voices & Votes is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and State Humanities Councils nationwide. It is based on an exhibition by the National Museum of American History. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress. Museum of Uintah County hours: M-F 9:00am-6:00pm. Check hours and exhibition related programming at https://themuc.org/
