Social Currents is an evening of captivating choreography by Alicia Trump in collaboration with Meraki Dance Theatre company dancers. The show also includes guest performers from Groove the Academy. This powerful evening of dance takes audiences on a journey through the complexities of our shared human experience. The first part dives into the pulse of contemporary life—examining society, culture, and the intricate ways we connect, collide, and coexist. Through bold and thought-provoking work, it asks urgent questions about the world we’re building together. In contrast, the second section rises with renewed energy and optimism, offering a vision of hope, unity, and resilience. Together, these works invite us to imagine a stronger collective future—and remind us of the transformative power of coming together to create meaningful change. Run time: 60 minutes, no intermission. Recommended for all ages. Infants being held do not require a ticket.
