9-11 Memorial Walk

Join Us for the 3rd Annual Tooele City Fire Department 9/11 Memorial Walk This year marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation. As we gather, we will take time to remember and honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day, including the brave first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving others. We invite you to join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Veterans Memorial Park in Tooele, Utah, as we come together to remember, honor, and never forget. At registration, each participant will receive a name tag honoring one of the first responders who lost their life on September 11, 2001. We will then walk from Veterans Memorial Park to the Tooele High School football field, where participants will walk up and down the bleacher steps in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Keynote Speaker: Retired Utah Highway Patrol Colonel Mike Rapich Following the opening ceremony and keynote address, participants will begin the memorial walk to Tooele High School. This is more than a walk. It is an opportunity to remember the lives lost, honor the sacrifices made, and ensure that we never forget September 11, 2001. Please join us as a community as we Remember.
