Jylian Gustlin + Lola: Exhibition

Two artists. Two approaches to the same essential question: what emerges when you surrender to a process? Jylian Gustlin builds her paintings from mathematics and memory — layering oil, acrylic, wax, gold leaf, and resin in compositions shaped by the Fibonacci sequence and the figurative legacy of the Bay Area artists she grew up loving. Her works feel simultaneously structured and alive, as though pattern and chaos are in quiet negotiation. Lola begins with color. Working in tinted epoxy resin poured and layered on a raised horizontal surface, she allows the medium to move and settle on its own terms — guiding without dictating, deciding without controlling. Together, their works explore what it means to make something that is both intentional and open — where the artist's hand is everywhere, and yet the final form belongs to the process itself. Join us July 3rd to kick off our first show of the summer, and experience new works by both artists at Gallery MAR, Park City
