As the United States marks 250 years since 1776, Logan Library and our community partners are proud to present the America 250 Lecture Series , inviting our community to explore the many ways the American experiment has taken shape, politically, socially, and culturally. June 20, 2026, Lecture : This lecture will discuss the significance of the Dominguez-Escalante expedition for the future white exploration and settlement of Utah. Rebecca Andersen is a Senior Lecturer in History at Utah State University. She researches Utah and Latter-day Saint History and is currently working on a book project on Mormon cultural landscapes.
