Experience an unforgettable musical journey where Eastern traditions and Western choral artistry come together through stories of migration, memory, and belonging. Before traveling to perform at the Idaho International Choral Festival, the Salt Lake Chinese Choir invites audiences to experience a unique evening of contemporary Chinese choral music. This thoughtfully curated program follows a journey of migration, longing, and belonging—from open landscapes and distant memories to love, loss, and ultimately the search for a place to call home. Featuring guest artists on erhu, Chinese bamboo flute, traditional percussion, piano, and dance, the concert blends Eastern musical traditions with Western choral artistry, offering audiences an immersive cross-cultural experience. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
