Sadler Lecture: Michael Childers

WSU’s Department of History hosts a “The Mountains Are Calling: Visitors and Tourism's Cost in Yosemite” lecture, 7 p.m. in Lindquist Hall, room 101, free. Based on his recent book, “The Mountains Are Calling: Tourists and the Unmaking of Yosemite National Park,” Colorado State University history professor Michael Childers will explain how visitors helped build Yosemite's popularity, while also becoming its greatest environmental threat.
