As the United States marks 250 years since 1776, Logan Library and our community partners are proud to present the America 250 Lecture Series, inviting our community to explore the many ways the American experiment has taken shape, politically, socially, and culturally. August 15, 2026, Lecture: How do we reclaim our politics from an era of fracture and polarization? First, by looking to the lessons of America's first three revolutions -- the Founding, the Civil War, and the rights revolution of the 20th century. Patrick Mason is a professor of history and religious studies at USU, where he holds the Leonard Arrington Chair of Mormon History and Culture.
