PROPECHY: A doctor accepts a job for the Environmental Protection Agency to write a report about a paper mill operating near the Ossipee River in Maine, where indigenous activists are protesting. Lumberjacks and rescue team members are going missing. The indigenous activists are being blamed by employees and operators for the paper mill, yet the activists blame a vengeful forest spirit. Soon, the doctor finds that the river is being polluted by the mill's waste, which is causing surrounding life to mutate. Might there be an apex predator running amok in the wilderness? Directed by John Frankenheimer (RONIN), this eco-horror entertainer is a blunt depiction of the externalities of mankind's productivity mixed with thrills of a creature feature. It stars Robert Foxworth (HAWAII FIVE-O), Talia Shire (ROCKY), and Armand Assante (GOTTI).
