Festival of Science: Geology Hike with Will Leggett

One of the festival's most popular events, led by National Park Service geologist Will Leggett. The hike starts at the BLM parking lot at the end of Powerhouse Lane and climbs above Mill Creek Canyon, so it is somewhat strenuous, but Leggett stops frequently to talk about the geology and the forces that forged Moab's landscape. Free, but space is limited and pre-registration is required. Part of the Moab Festival of Science, Sept. 23-27.
