Town To Tuk 2026

A human-powered, unsupported group ride, run and hike from Moab to the summit of Mt. Tukuhnikivatz and back: roughly 28 miles round trip, climbing from 4,045 feet in town to the 12,482-foot summit. Held on the summer solstice to celebrate the longest day of the year, where the sun lingers longest. The original idea is to cover the whole route using only human power. Most riders mountain bike from Moab toward the La Sal pass area and hike to the summit; many filter water along the way rather than carry it all. All levels are welcome. Some participants run and hike from the Pack Creek campground area, and e-bikes are fine too. A summit from the campground is still a major challenge. The goal is a community-based endurance challenge: more people out there, pushing themselves to do something they find challenging. This year the event starts and finishes at Moab Cyclery.
