Community Capoeira Batizado Event

As America marks 250 years, our Capoeira Batizado celebrates enduring themes of dignity, liberation, creativity through hardship, and communal resilience.This community event brings people of all ages together through music, movement, and cultural exchange. Rooted in the Afro-Brazilian tradition of capoeira, the Batizado represents initiation, growth, and community belonging. Guests are invited to experience an art form that blends movement, rhythm, play, and live music in an atmosphere of connection and celebration. We have invited famous Mestres from Brazil, including the face behind the famous game character Eddy Gordo in Tekken 3, Mestre Marcelo.
