Dolores Triangle: Recreation Restoration

Volunteers join the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance and the Bureau of Land Management to restore dispersed campsites along the Dolores and Colorado rivers, in the red rock country where Utah meets Colorado. Work includes cleaning out fire rings, moving natural materials, and installing educational signage to protect desert vegetation and soils. Difficulty: Moderate. SUWA supplies all tools and safety equipment plus dinners and workday snacks; volunteers bring their own camping gear, other meals and transportation. Volunteers needed: 8.
