Fall Harvest Festival and Blue Ribbon Produce Contest

The Youth Garden Project's annual Harvest Festival, with games and activities for all ages, farm-fresh food, a produce contest exhibition, storytelling and live music. The Blue Ribbon Produce Contest takes entries of homegrown vegetables, with special emphasis on the largest pumpkin, squash or watermelon. Entries are accepted during the week leading up to the festival during office hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or during produce drop-off hours Friday and Saturday. Bring an information card with your name, the variety and a title. Produce is judged before the festival begins, and attendees vote for a People's Choice award.
