Nature Relief Prints

Each student will produce a striking tree print (approximately 25 x 40 inches) and explore additional smaller prints using plants and flowers. This workshop introduces the fundamentals of relief printing, including inking techniques, proper ink coverage, and printmaking processes. Participants will gain experience working with natural textures and forms while creating one-of-a-kind prints to take home. Please wear clothing that can get dirty, as printing ink may stain and bring any plants from home you want to print.

Rebecca Pletsch is a Utah-based painter and mixed media artist whose work explores themes of memory, impermanence, and perception through painting and collage. With over twenty years of experience, her practice merges traditional techniques with experimental processes, creating layered works that evoke atmosphere, fragmentation, and emotional resonance. Her work has received numerous awards and honors and has been exhibited in major museums and galleries throughout Utah, including the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Ogden Contemporary Arts, the Kimball Art Center, the Rio Gallery, and the Springville Museum of Art. In addition to her studio practice, she is deeply engaged in arts education and is passionate about helping others explore and develop their creative voice.

ACE aims to create an inclusive and accessible environment for all of our attendees; please contact our Executive Director, Sara Gibbs, with any questions regarding accessibility
