UMFA in the Wild: Gyotaku Fish Rubbings at Willard Bay State Park

Venture out to Utah’s wild places and join the Utah Museum of Fine Arts for an art-making experience inspired by nature. Take a day trip to Willard Bay State Park and create your own work of art inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku fish prints. Gyotaku was created hundreds of years ago when Japanese fishermen wanted to record the fish they caught. Since there were no cameras, the fishermen would make prints of their fish using ink and rice paper. This event is free with admission to Willard Bay State Park : 900 W 650 N Willard, UT 84340
