Fall Concert I: Sound of Ages

Friday, September 18 — Fall Concert I: Sound of Ages Courtyard Gardens, Grand America Hotel, 7:00pm Hailed as “a transcendent vocal powerhouse,” Sound of Ages, under the direction of Kameron Kavanaugh, celebrates the timeless power of the human voice through world-class ensemble singing and inventive storytelling. The September 18 program spans five centuries, from Thomas Tallis and Claudio Monteverdi to Eric Whitacre and the ensemble’s own Composer-in-Residence Andrew Maxfield, whose music, grounded in the early music tradition and entirely of the present moment, gives the evening its particular character.
