Crosswalk Musical

The cast of Anything Goes will stage a "crosswalk musical" on Saturday, June 13, at 9 a.m. at the intersection of 1485 W. 4800 South in front of the Taylorsville-Bennion Heritage Center. It's free to watch so stop on by. Organized by the Taylorsville Arts Council, the event is meant to draw attention to the show and mimic the Crosswalk the Musical productions by actor/television host James Corden on his “The Late Late Show," which ran for eight years on broadcast television. Like Corden’s skits, the Taylorsville Anything Goes cast will assemble at the curbside before sprinting out into the road as the light turns red. With traffic stopped at the light, the cast will then dance and perform songs from Anything Goes in the crosswalk before the light turns green again. Watch the crosswalk event and then see the actual show at the Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center, July 13 to 18. The summer musical Anything Goes promises lively music, comedy and memorable dance numbers, with its storyline of a stowaway hoping to win the heart of a debutante aboard a luxury ocean liner.
