Art Reception: Mark Crenshaw: Process & Annual Quilt Show

Celebrate two new art shows opening in August with a reception for artist Mark Crenshaw's show Process, and the library's annual quilt show. Inspired by terraced rice paddies in the mountains of Thailand, chickens roaming the narrow alleys of Hanoi, and endless olive trees across Spain, Italy and Greece, Mark Crenshaw's work explores our intimate connection with the land, and the food it produces. This year's annual quilt show, curated by Christine Ricks, focuses on the abstract aesthetics shared by both quilting and many schools of modern art.
