CONSTITUTION DAY 2026

Hi my name is Kani Salanoa. I am the original starter/organizer and Founder of Grantsville City Tooele County Constitution Day! The Day its self is to celebrate during Americas 250th semiquincentennial the 239th writing and signing of the U.S. Constitution.

We have Early American child and adult games. I came up with the idea of giving hints and answers in the questions and having them answer what historically would only be adult type questions. This makes it easy to create games for the event. In other words we have educational and trivia games on top of early American toys and games.

We also have main stage early American reenactors and performers. Who enact teachings of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence to a crowd. Hill Airforce Base does the opening Flag Raising Ceremony usually with a State Legislator and the Mayor of the City at the event. We have both Educational non-profit and For Profit merchants their. We also have patriotic Face Painting, Balloon twisting, Food Trucks, and try to have fireworks at the end.

This year I have organized and founded 2 more Constitution Days 1 In West Valley City on August 29th 3-8 p.m. 3900 s 4000 w WVC, UT 84120.

The other event is in Kearns City on September 5th, 3-8 p.m. 4400 w 5400 s Kearns City, UT 84118.

The 1 in West Valley City is at a old LDS Church that West Valley City bought from the LDS and turned it into the new Lighthouse Center to be used as help and assistance for the poor and educational self reliance classes. The location in Kearns is unique as its the only City Park in Kearns City that Kearns owns while the rest is owned by Salt Lake County.
