Great compost doesn't happen by accident, but it's not complicated once you understand the basics. This workshop covers everything you need to know to build and maintain a productive compost pile, including the science of decomposition, ingredient ratios, moisture management, turning schedules, and how to troubleshoot common issues. We'll also compare different composting methods to help you find the right fit for your space, schedule, and gardening goals. You'll have the chance to get hands-on practice assembling a pile and share your own composting experiences with the group.
