AUSTIN TV is an instrumental rock band from Mexico City. Their music has been cataloged as post rock, math rock, art rock, and even punk, but somehow they have become one of the most influential independent bands in Mexico and Latin America. Using conceptual masks based on each of their albums, they give life to their moto "TU CARA NO IMPORT A, IMPORT AS TÚ" ("YOUR FACE DOESN'T MATTER, YOU MATTER"). Their message has marked more than one generation. They recently returned from a 10 year hiatus and in all their career they have performed in more than 20 countries from America and Europe, played big festivals in Mexico like Vive Latino. They released 5 studio albums, opened for bands such as Yo La Tengo and Mogwai, and with 22 years of experience they have managed to carry the DIY flag to new horizons.
