Assistant Secretary General of the OAS Lecture

Her Excellency Laura Gil, Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States, will speak on BYU campus. Laura Gil was elected Assistant Secretary General of the OAS on May 5, 2025, for a five-year term, becoming on July 14 the first woman to hold this position in the Organization’s history. An internationalist and seasoned public servant, Gil is steering the Office of the Assistant Secretary General toward transparent, inclusive, and participatory management.
