JOI: Mizuhiki Workshop

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT* Join us for a hands-on workshop on September 16 from 4:30-5:30 PM in the Logan Library makerspace to learn about Mizuhiki, a traditional Japanese decorative cord craft. Mizuhiki involves tying colorful cords into intricate knots and shapes. Traditionally used in Japan for gifts, celebrations, and special occasions, Mizuhiki serves as a symbol of connection and good wishes. Come learn basic knotting techniques and create your own decorative craft! This event is presented in partnership with the Japanese Outreach Initiative. This event is for people 13 and older. *Spots are limited and often fill quickly. When registered participants don’t attend, it prevents others from having the opportunity to join. Please register only if you plan to attend, and cancel using your confirmation email if your plans change, so we can offer your spot to someone else.
