Join the Park City // Summit County Green Business Program on Wednesday, August 12 at the Park City Chamber from 12 pm to 1 pm to discover the role renewable energy can play as one of many strategies businesses can use to understand, reduce, and transform the energy used in their day-to-day operations. Join experts from Vote Solar, Summit County, and U-Crew, as they discuss the benefits, share success stories, and highlight ways businesses can become more involved in clean and renewable energy initiatives.
During the session, speakers will discuss the different approaches businesses can take to meet their energy goals, explain the differences between renewable and clean energy, address common energy-related challenges, and highlight current and upcoming Rocky Mountain Power programs. Lunch is provided!
Featured Speakers include:
Creed McCord, Program Engineer at U-Crew, will share a local program available to businesses seeking to better understand and reduce their energy use.
Kate Bowman, Regulatory Director at Vote Solar, will discuss the role renewable energy can play in helping businesses achieve their sustainability goals.
Emily Quinton, Summit County Sustainability Director and Secretary of the Utah Renewable Communities Board, will provide the big-picture framework for business energy decision-making. She will introduce the energy hierarchy, explain the differences between clean and renewable energy, and discuss the range of utility-scale energy options available to commercial customers. Emily will also provide an overview of the new Community Clean Energy Program, adopted by Summit County, Park City, Francis, and Oakley, and what it means for local businesses and the future of clean energy in Utah.
