**Free Idaho Falls family history event to celebrate 250th American anniversary** The Idaho Falls FamilySearch Center will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States with a special event on Saturday, July 11. "America250 Celebrate Our Heritage" is a free community event for the entire family with activities for all ages. People can stop by between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn more about their own family history and our shared American heritage. An outdoor patriotic ceremony will start the event at 10 a.m. Following the short ceremony, volunteers will be available to help people find their Revolutionary War and immigrant ancestors. There will also be displays of American history and free Johnny cakes to eat. Several crafts and activities are planned for children. The center is located at 750 West Elva Street, just north of the Idaho Falls Temple.
