August Art Stroll

Welcome to August Art Stroll — where the summer is heating up but our artist will have cool art and experiences for you! Plus stop by to see the Community Tiny Art Show! Art Stroll is on Friday, August 7th, 2026! The store will be open later than usual for Art Stroll from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm; with then even later until 10pm for shopping. We are thrilled to announce that we have 2 Featured Artist this month!! Fiona Hurst and Gaye Hurst 1-My name is Fiona Hurst, and I married my husband, Mike Hurst of Hurst's Handblown Glass in 2004. I’m a mom to three hooligans and work full-time as a Medical Assistant, balancing the beautiful chaos of family life with a rewarding career. Over the years, I’ve dabbled in glasswork on and off, but it wasn’t until 2025 that I truly found my passion. What started as an attempt to create worry stones for anxiety quickly turned into something much more—I was hooked. Since then, I’ve expanded my creativity, discovering a love for crafting heart pendants and continuing my journey in the art of glass, one piece at a time. 2-Gaye Leatherow Hurst was born in Ogden and was raised in North Ogden and graduated from Weber High class of ‘71. She started crocheting and sewing Barbie clothes as a teenager and has dabbled in many different things since, excelling in all of them, just trying to keep herself and her hands busy. She has made lampwork beads, tried her hand at glass fusing, mosaics, ceramics, toll painting, counted Cross-stitch, polymer clay and currently seed beating (I’m sure there is more). She likes working with glass, whether it is nipping pieces for a mosaic, making beads or stitching seed beads into an intricate pattern. Classes and Events happening during the Art Stroll: 6:00-9:00: Everyone has been loving the glass blown worry stones. Now you can actually meet the incredible artist who makes them: Fiona Hurst. PLUS she is going to be doing a GIVEAWAY of a Worry Stone so stop by so you can enter to win!! 6:00-9:00: Come check out all of the new beaded pieces made by the talented Gaye Hurst. 6:00-9:00: It is the time of year for our annual Tiny Art Show. You will want to come and see what our community has made. This years theme is Collage / Mixed Media. Find all of the tiny art set up on the shelves in the classroom. He is always so fun to watch and you never know what amazing piece he will be creating. Find him in his Glass Studio. 6:00-9:00: Drop In Ring Bar And Silver Spoon Ring Stop by and pick out pieces for a unique custom made ring. First pick out a stone, then the bezel (metal that holds the stone), and then pick your silver band style. After all are chosen, 16th generation silversmith, Rene, will create your custom ring while you shop. OR choose from a variety of vintage sterling silver spoon handles and a ring will be made while you shop. Ring will generally be ready in less than 30 minutes. Perfect for a back to school gift or new jewelry for yourself! Find him in his studio space. 6:00-9:00: The Little Art Market, featuring brilliant artists from the YMCA, Our artist have been teaching them how to felt, make jewelry, paint and more.
