Time • Place • Perspective: BLM Artist-in-Residence Josh Schutz

The Bureau of Land Management’s Canyon Country District Artist-in-Residence, Josh Schutz, gives a free talk and demonstration at the Moonflower Canyon Day Use Area. Schutz is a Colorado-based photographer and artist who works in historic photographic processes, including wet plate collodion tintypes, ambrotypes and dry plate photography. The program, “Time • Place • Perspective,” explores how those historic processes connect people to geological time, the landscapes we live in and our shared responsibility for public lands. Attendees can hear Schutz discuss his practice, ask questions and watch parts of his creative process. About 90 minutes. Free and open to the public. BLM announcement
