This first meeting provides a time for residents to meet their neighbors, review some policies and procedures living on the floor, start scheduling the roommate agreement meeting to discuss expectations/preferences for roommates/suitemates. Important Dates, Fire Evacuation Locations, Specific responsibilites, Important Deadlines, Timelines for the Year will be reviewed. It is a great time to not only bond with the others on your floor to create a home away from home but also to learn basics like how to submit a maintenance request, who to call if you are locked out or have an urgent matter. There are 2 mandatory meetings a semester. This opening meeting for orientation to Housing and closing meeting. Residents are responsible for the information provided during these meetings which include deadlines, procedures, and important information. These meetings will likely take 1 hr. Questions?
