Grand County 4-H Pumpkin Carving Contest

Grand County 4-H hosts its first annual Pumpkin Carving Contest at the USU Extension Office. Cloverbuds in grades K-2 will paint and decorate pumpkins; youth in grades 3-12 will carve. Pumpkins and supplies are provided, and stencils are welcome. Check-in opens at 1:30 p.m., and participants should arrive by 1:45 p.m. Carving begins at 2 p.m. This is an outdoor event, so dress for weather and mess. A parent or guardian must stay with youth in grades K-5. Youth in grades 6-12 need parental permission. The event is free, but youth must be enrolled in 4-H and registered for the event in Z-Suite. A separate 4-H enrollment fee applies for youth not already enrolled. Spaces are limited: register by Oct. 19, or until spaces fill, at 4h.zsuite.org/event-registrations/72360 . New to 4-H? Enroll first at 4h.zsuite.org . Full rules are provided with registration. Interested in judging or volunteering? Contact 4-H Program Coordinator Isabel Lindsay at isabel.lindsay@usu.edu .
