Nolan's Odyssey, a community discussion

Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster film The Odyssey has prompted wide debate, including questions about how faithfully it reflects Homer’s original poem. Salt Lake Film Society (SLFS) and faculty from the University of Utah’s Classics Program invite the community to a panel discussion exploring the film’s relationship to its ancient source material, including choices made in the adaptation, what may have been lost or left out in the process, and how successfully it translates to the big screen. Panelists will share opening remarks before opening the floor for audience questions and discussion.
