America at the Crossroads: States of America

Join us for "America at the Crossroads," a new series that invites us to think about how movies, music, museums, and more help us understand America’s past and shape our decisions about its future. In our first installment, Professor Brad Barber (Theatre and Media Arts) will discuss "States of America," a PBS documentary series that will be screening in the Arts Building’s new cinema this year. Over the past 16 years, he and his BYU Film students have been producing a series of documentary shorts featuring a resident from each of the 50 states in the US; he'll discuss what he has learned about the diverse identity of our nation while filming the series.
