Aggie Talks: Salem Witches and Dark Tourism

Join us on October 14 at 6 PM in Logan Library's Community Room B for a lecture by folklorist Dr. Jeannie Thomas. At this lecture, she will explore how the 1692 witch trials continue to shape modern-day Salem, Massachusetts. Drawing on interviews with local residents, Dr. Thomas examines the collision of history, popular culture, and "dark tourism"—revealing how "invasive narratives" transform a city's identity, economy, and public memory.
