Nitya Nritya Festival 2026 - Day 2

Nitya Nritya Festival is back in its 10th year to Utah with a wider geographic footprint in the Salt Lake valley, extending to Kingsbury Hall, University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City. Curated by Utah non-profit, Nitya Nritya Foundation, this major festival of Indian classical dance and music, brings the artists at the pinnacle of their fields to Utah. Having presented the first day of the festival at Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center, Taylorsville, the festival features the following on Day 2 at Kingsbury Hall. Saturday, September 12, 2026: Kingsbury Hall, Salt Lake City. We present: At 11 am: THE ALAYA PROJECT, a thrilling bridge between the intricate Carnatic style of Indian classical music and contemporary jazz and funk. This is presented by:- Rohan Krishnamurthy on Carnatic percussion, and Jazz drums.- Prasant Radhakrishnan on Saxophone- Colin Hogan on Keys At 1 pm: A free workshop by festival artists on the their work and the arts that they bring to the festival. At 7 pm: Nava Dance Theatre in Rogue Gestures / Foreign Bodies, an exploration of contemporary histories of immigrant women, a powerful narrative of migration, labor, memories, and belonging.
