Dementia Champions

Dementia Champions is a two-hour follow up workshop to "What is Dementia Really?". Participants must attend "What is Dementia Really?" before attending. Participants learn to use Hand-under-Hand™ (for tasks like feeding/bathing) and the Positive Physical Approach™ (to reduce resistance/agitation). The course is open to family and other unpaid friend and community caregivers. Caregivers are no able to bring those they care for with them to the event. Thank you for your understanding. Caregivers are not able to have those they care for with them online for class. This is a caregiver specific program. Thank you for your understanding. Please call 711 one week in advance to make arrangements for ADA support and language translation services as many services take time to arrange.
