Mud Springs Trail System Ribbon Cutting

Local partners will cut the ribbon on the new Mud Springs trail system in San Juan County, a machine-built public trail network purpose-built for a wide range of riders — including families, newer riders, adaptive cyclists and Class 1 e-bikes. The ribbon cutting runs from 2:15 to 3 p.m., followed by a course pre-ride for Utah High School Cycling League athletes and event programming until 6 p.m. Food trucks and a Moab tourism information table will be on site. Phase 1 totals roughly 11 miles: seven miles of beginner- and intermediate-level trail built last fall, plus about 3.5 miles of intermediate and advanced trail expected to be finished this season. The project brought together the Bureau of Land Management, San Juan County, Grand County and other partners, and grew out of a decade-long effort to find a new race venue after the league outgrew the Bar M trails.
