Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest

The Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest is back, Saturday June 13, bringing the community together to run, walk, bike, play, or volunteer while raising funds to advance the groundbreaking research, innovative treatments, and cancer prevention efforts at Huntsman Cancer Institute. This day-long event has an activity for everyone, including the 1K Stroll, Kids Fun K, 5K, and 10K Trail Run, as well as cycling routes ranging from 22 to 140 miles. Participants can also take part in the quest, a team-based scavenger hunt where groups of two to five complete interactive challenges throughout the day. Opportunities to get involved extend beyond event participation, with volunteer roles supporting event operations such as setup, check-in, and cheering along the course. The day concludes with a Finish Line Festival at the University of Utah’s Fort Douglas Field, featuring food, drinks, music, giveaways, a kids’ play zone, and more.

Whether joining as an individual or as a part of a team, participants have the option to direct their fundraising toward research for a specific type of cancer that is meaningful to them or select the area of greatest need. This year’s fundraising goal is set for $500,000. Since its inception, SportsFest participants, sponsors, and partners have raised more than $7.5 million for life-changing research at Huntsman Cancer Institute. Funds raised through the event go to advancing research, improving treatments, and expanding education around cancer prevention and care.

Onsite registration will be available at Packet Pickup on Friday, June 12. To learn more, donate, or register for Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest, visit www.huntsmansportsfest.com.
