The Lake

is a vérité film that follows Dr. Bonnie Baxter and other Utah researchers and advocates as they confront the ecological collapse of Great Salt Lake, "a crisis decades in the making."

The film premiered at the 2026 Sundance Festival, where it won the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Impact for Change and was nominated for best documentary.

A brief program with Dr. Bonnie Baxter and Westminster University President Sylvia Torti will accompany the screening, followed by a reception.
