Hurst Artist-in-Residence: Pepon Osario

Join us for a conversation with Pepón Osorio, an internationally recognized multidisciplinary artist whose work explores race, identity, social justice, and the lived experiences of Latinx and working-class communities in the United States. Born in San Juan and later moving to the South Bronx, Osorio creates richly detailed sculptures and installations shaped by community collaboration and social engagement. For more than 35 years, his work has sparked critical conversations around inequality within healthcare, education, and prison systems while centering the voices and experiences of the communities he works alongside.
