First Presbyterian Church of Salt Lake City Scottish Festival and Kirkin' o' th' Tartan

Bagpipes, Highland dancers, Scottish food, whisky, tartan s, a Highland cow and four decades of tradition come together as First Presbyterian Church of Salt Lake City celebrates the 40th Anniversary of its Scottish Festival Saturday, October 24th through Sunday, October 25th. For its milestone anniversary, the church has expanded Saturday festival hours from 2:00-6:00p.m. featuring more food, entertainment, shopping and activities for all ages. At 6 p.m., the celebration moves into the historic sanctuary with the sights and sounds of pipes, drums and Highland dancing for a concert featuring the Salt Lake Scots Pipe Band & Drum Corps and its Highland Dancers. The 40th anniversary celebration continues Sunday, October 25th with the traditional Kirkin' o' th' Tartan worship services at 9 and 11 a.m. The colorful services celebrate the Scottish roots of Presbyterianism and includes the presentation and blessing of Scottish family tartans.Kirkin'-o'-th'-Tartan,SLC-Scots
